Srishti Gupta, a mother, a researcher and a passionate advocate for healthy living, noticed a quiet but serious problem: most mattresses sold as “organic” weren’t really what they claimed to be.
Even the ones with fancy green labels had hidden layers of chemical foam, synthetic glues, or plastic fabrics. And the truly natural ones? Often priced sky-high, out of reach for most Indian families.
Worried about how these invisible toxins were affecting babies, pregnant women, older adults, and frankly, everyone, she knew there had to be a better way.
So, she built one.
After years of research and countless material tests, Srishti and the team at Sleep Spa launched a new kind of mattress range, made entirely from certified natural materials, right down to the thread and packaging. Our cellulose foam is crafted from certified organic, plant-based cellulose. It contains zero PU foam, synthetic adhesives, or chemicals. After 4 years of R&D, we developed a material that’s breathable, orthopedic, biodegradable, and safe for all ages, a true plant-based alternative to traditional foam.
What is Natural Latex Foam?
Natural latex comes from the sap of rubber trees. Our GOLS-certified latex is tapped responsibly, processed without toxins, and contains no synthetic fillers. It’s springy, breathable, and provides excellent orthopedic support, especially in our 7-zone pressure-relief design.
How are your organic mattresses different from PU or memory foam?
Most foam mattresses use PU (polyurethane) or memory foam, which are petroleum-based, trap heat, and release toxic gases (off-gassing). They also sag over time.
